Demian - A nice long cask ale weekday lunch sounds awesome. I'm sure my employers would love that. I've also been meaning to try Shopsin's, another place you have to hit mid-day. Sometime.

Ed - I'm never letting Roquefort touch a burger again, even if I have to slap it out of the chef's hand. It's just Wrong.

Sorry to hear that you were disappointed in the gnudi (I remember you saying how much you wanted to try them). I'm with you on the burger. That Rouquefort was a little much. I'd think a bleu cheese might be better.

Sorry to hear about your bummer of an experience. Cold tables are always a drag. I know first-hand because my wifes' entire evening will be ruined with even just a hint of chilly draft (don't get her started about her birthday dinner last year...!) And you are correct in that the Spotted Pig experience can be strained to near-breaking when it is a full weekend evening. The first-floor bar area is just brutally small. But Ken, April, Randy et all are a good bunch and they do mean well. I would say give it another try. The best time to go is probably at lunch on a week day. The prices might not be any cheaper but the crowd will be thin, (sat next to SNL peeps last time I was there) the service less stressed and the food pretty darn good. Try the calves liver! And there's nothing like a cask ale to make a lunch hour turn into two :) Thanks for the review!
